That seems like a big change for one year. Do costs really change that quickly?

I only know the property taxes are alot cheaper in Tucson than here in NJ. We have not started to look at houses yet.

a1m1700... No we really do not have to go. However NJ property taxes are out of control. Tucson's property taxes are really cheap!! The homes we are looking at are no different in price than Here in NJ. So I wonder what makes Tucson overpriced? My son lives in Tucson and my sister lives in Goodyear. That is another good reason why I want to move.

The statistics considered in the ranking changed a little bit between 2005 and 2006.

It sounds like low salaries, and fast rising housing prices.

T.S. Thanks for the information. The house prices are about the same as here in NJ. We are looking to have a home built. The price of new homes are similar to NJ. I am not going to let myself worry about it. I am looking forward to living near my son and my sister (who I really miss!!)
