| Should I move to hawaii for a year after graduation and live my dream, after
getting my bachelor's? I am graduating college this August. I am going to go back to school though and become a firefighter. I have to attend an EMT class in the fall of this year, then paramedics the next year. My life dream is to live in hawaii. I realize I do not want to live there for my whole life. I want to ideally stop and take a year off. I would go to hawaii this september until next year September 2009, then come back in time to take the EMT that year in the fall and finish up my fire science degree. I will basically lose one year, but I will complete my life dream and be able to live here in Chicago. If I do not do it now I never will. I will graduate then get a job, it will be too hard to move then and stuff. I am 23 now will be 24 when I get back from hawaii. I have enough money to do it. I have around $4,000-$5,000 to get started once I arrive. Also, I want to explore the island and do things like skydive, shark dive, etc. My question is, is this a good idea? Would you do it if in my situation?
I will have a bachelors in criminal justice and just getting my EMt and Paramedics.
