water in basement

We had the excavator out the other day. He needs to dig around the house and fix all cracks and then seal the walls and grade the property. Any ideas?

Re: water in basement

Also drainage pipe...the kind with holes that you fill with drainage rock. Buried at a slope away from the house.

Re: water in basement

Thank you george. I'm just a lady who says "Thingamabob" when I don't know the exact label for it. Or I just describe...in detail. Drain tile, huh. I will add it to my vocabulary. My hubby will be impressed. This lady never even lifts the hood on her car. A man's job. Okay ladies don't rake me over the coals for it. My hubby is a mechanic. Never lifting the hood is a perk. Also he is very handy with Drain tile:)
