Sandy Downs in Idaho Falls

Was just watching the local news and it seems the new stir is going to be what to do about the land surrounding Sandy Downs. There was a meeting tonight to come up with some ideas to make it of more use as the area is growing.

A few ideas given were a dog park that could double as having dog shows and a rodeo arena. It will be interesting to see the outcome.

Why do they want to do something with the land?

What about the dunes out there? Has anyone done anything with them? When I was younger, a friend and I used to sneak out onto the dunes, on someone else's property. It was cool to mess around out there.

The Dunes are still there, so I'm not at all certain which direction they are planning on expanding.
