My friend said Boise is the cleanest city he has ever been it, true?

A friend of mine worked in Boise for a while. Said it was the cleanest city he has ever visited. Anyone else feel that way? Does Boise have a small downtown or a large one? Lots of high rises or just a few blocks?

Izzy

Boise did look very nice, clean, and bike friendly from some pictures I saw of it. The river going through it looked clean too.

The Wikipedia article on Boise has a couple pictures of the downtown skyline.

I would disagree. I have lived in Boise still visit family there often, and it is NOT one of the cleanest cities. There is no bottle depost, so you will see many cans and bottles laying around. As for bicycle friendly.... not really. There are many main streets with no bike lanes. It is a growing city, so I am sure they will add in more bike lanes, but the downside of an increasing population is you will see more garbage littering the streets. To really help keep Idaho clean, they need to enact a bottle and can deposit such as many other states have done.
