Subsidized Apartments in Idaho

The US Dept of Agricultures subsidizes rent for low income families, elderly and disabled persons through it's Rural Development division (RD). This link will help you find properties that offer this program and others:

Re: Subsidized Apartments in Idaho

I did notice that their information for Idaho is not conclusive. My mom's complex which has been up for about five years now was not mentioned and it's subsidized for seniors. So when checking out this website, you might also want to do some added research along side this neat site.

Not sure what subsidy your ma has. The link covers all Rural Development (USDA) properties and properties subsidized by local Housing Authorities.
If she is in Boise then it would probably not show - although I don't know if Boise is still considered rural or not - I know one company I worked for had two properties RD in Boise.
I also noticed some spelling problems on the WY site - but the properties were listed.
I suppose it would matter which RD offices were feeding the site. In WY, they're pretty lax on getting things done. ID is normally right up-to-snuff.

Re: Subsidized Apartments in Idaho

She's in Idaho Falls and I did notice one complex geared at low income, not specifically senior housing that was listed in Idaho Falls.

Then again, it's subsidized government housing, just not sure which department subsidizes it. Which that could be why I'm not seeing it listed?

Impossible for me to say at this point ... or perhaps any point.
Give them a call Tuesday and ask! Lemme know.

Since I have no patience I did an Internet search and came up with it being Idaho Housing and Finance (Section 8).

Cool.
I'm not such a pro with other entities - or states. I was surprised to find Oregon Housing Authorities listed on the Oregon RD site - and they have an entity here (OR) that I'm not familiar with ... and can't even recall the name of. I suppose each state is different.
I found the link to this organization - will post it below. The link takes you straight to the rental-properties map-page ... scroll down for property info - and you can go back to "Home" from there for further info on other programs:

Idaho Housing & Finance Association - Housing Information - Idaho Assisted Housing Directory

Thanks for your help on this matter.
