Any advice on a move from Minneapolis to Chicago?

I'm currently a junior at the U of M in Minneapolis, and was hoping to get some advice on Chicago living? I like Minneapolis, but I'm looking to get out of Minnesota once I graduate (lived here all my life, and am ready to try something new). I visited Chicago a few times in high school and really loved it, however, I don't have any info when it comes to actually living there. If someone could compare Minneapolis (which I am very familiar with) to Chicago (in terms of cost of living, winter weather, the over-all "feel" of the city, ease of finding an apartment, etc.), that would be very helpful.

Some parts of Chicago are definitely places to avoid but overall the city is a great place to live. The weather pretty much sucks during the winter when it's freezing and snowing the whole time and then during the summer when it's hot as hell and the sun never goes away. I love New York City and want to move there someday. I consider Chicago a cleaner version of NYC. There's pollution of course but I find it to be very clean. Most college students and out-of-college people have moved into apartments where there's a lot of nightlife. I think you'll really like Chicago.
