I might be moving my family to Dallas from Chicago and am nervous....can you help me?

Hey everyone! Thanks in advance for any help anyone offers. My DH lost his job more than a month ago. We live in the Chicago suburbs. I was a stay-at-home mom. Now, I have been faced with going back to work and haven't had much luck here. Neither has he, in fact I've had more luck and he has a fantastic resume! However, I have had some hopeful conversations with a recruiter in Dallas. We have wanted to move out of this area for a while, and do have family in Dallas. I have more family here in Chicago, but I do think I want to move. Can anyone come up with any pro/cons for me. Tell me about the Dallas suburbs....I have one child in grade school and a preschooler. I have looked at the obvious.....now, you tell me about Dallas.....I've been there but never LIVED there, but sometimes living and visiting are two whole different ballgames!

You are going to be much happier in Dallas than Chicago. It will be an exciting adventure for you moving out of the Chicago area, and starting over in Dallas. People are much friendlier, too.
