| Illinois Home Prices CNN/Money reports that Illinois home prices have stabilized, and downstate home prices remain among the most affordable in the nation. Kankakee-Bradley home prices rose 6.6% in 2006, leading the state, Champaign-Urbana 5.5%, St. Louis metro and Peoria 4%, Chicago-Naperville-Joliet, Rockford and Springfield just under 2%, Davenport-Moline-Rock Island and Decutur rose less than 1%, while Bloomington-Normal fell 8.5%.
