I didn't live in Lexington, but am very familiar with the city. Yes, lots of residential down there, it's a growing area. It is where University of Kentucky is located and is an hour from Louisville. My daughter went to school at UK, and it's a nice city. Very pretty, lots to do in that area (of course you have to like horses and basketball lol)...reasonable cost of living there. Has a rather "southern" culture to it. You will have four seasons. I'm in southern Ohio and the weather in Lexington is similar to that in Cincinnati. Not a lot of snow. But winters around this part of the country can be wet and grey. Not a whole lot of real cold weather. Day temps in January/February usually in the upper 20s/low 30s. But to remember it CAN get extremely cold from time to time, but not very often. |
