What is in Kentucky?

My impressions of Kentucky are rolling hills, horses and the derby.

Are there properties that would be picturesque, land and house at $400,000 that would be near a major city. In other words I want all the beauty, but a Walmart close by.

Any areas match this?

I would think so. Overall Kentucky is one of the most inexpensive states in the nation and I think its tax burden is very low too. However I know there's a tornado risk there.

I don't think ANY state is safe from Walmart! LOL. I'm sure major cities in KY have 'em!
