Re: Not many on here from Michigan

Many Michiganders are currently busy lamenting a "down-cycle" in the state's economy. Too bad as I had left there for the same reason in the mid-70's but had just heard a couple of years ago, from an aunt, that it had rebounded nicely. I think perhaps that information was faulty. I lived on a couple of lakes there - Crystal Lake, south of Jackson which didn't allow motorized boats and also Baw Beese Lake near Hillsdale. I also spent some time on Lake LeAnn, near Somerset - and it was nice enough for motors and sail boats (small ones). A person that doesn't have financial worries could really enjoy the entire state for it's beauty, lushness and excellent fishing.

Re: Not many on here from Michigan

I was born in Michigan and grew up in Ann Arbor (Saline schools). I joined the Navy in 1986 and only made it back twice.. I'd love to move back to Ann Arbor, but the cost of living there is too high and the Michigan economy would be an issue..

Welcome, rd2007, I was raised in Minnesota, so I'm a yankee, also. I just read your profile and was wondering if you're still living in San Antonio?
