Hi Panterro, we lived in Baton Rouge for about two years - through the hurricanes - and at this point in time, Mississippi is recovering a bit faster than Louisiana, but I think that's partially because Louisiana is a mess politically and that just makes it more difficult. I'll try to do some research on it and let you know.

Thank you Panterro...I must admit it was a surprise. Just out of curiousity, where are you from originally?

I was just talking to A friend from Gulfport and was informed. The Casinos are really taking the ocean front areas in Mississippi away. Construction is booming. But alot of ppl there don't like the way the area is developing. He was telling me that the feel of the area isn't the same, as when I lived there. The casino's and local government have all but thrown the locals into the ocean. If they don't agree with them. I was thinking about taking a trip down there to visit soon. Just to see if it really has gotten as bad as I have been informed.

I was born and raised in El Paso TX. Well as a kid we did move around some. But mostly we lived in El Paso. So I would say El Paso is where I am from originally.

Well it seems all the coast areas are having that problem. I thought Mississippi passed laws restricting Casinos to certian casino districts on land now due to the amount of damage done by the floating ones. Some areas of the coast have huge Hotels or Condos going up all along it, visit Orange Beach in Alabama to see my point.. Even Corpus Christi is having these issues now.
