Keesler Air Show Returns!

I thought people would like to know some upcoming events in the Gulfport/Biloxi area..

Keesler Air Show

After an absence of four years, Keesler Air Force Base will once again present the Keesler Air Show on April 24.

Airshow fans will enjoy aerobatic flying by some of the best performers in the world today, formation flights by numerous aircraft and the top line fighters, transports, trainers, helos, and tankers of the United States Military plus a mock aerial dogfight between a P-51D Mustang and a Japanese Zero from Tora 101. Also included Air Force history and one of the largest displays of vintage aircraft on the Gulf Coast.

"Excitement is definitely in the air as we look forward to Smokin' the Sound and the Keesler Air Show," said Steve Richer, executive director of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau. "World class boat racing meets world class aviation for what's sure to be an unforgettable weekend."

Additionally on April 23, Alabama will perform their American Farewell Tour at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center and "Weird Al" Yankovic is in concert at Grand Casino Biloxi. Free to Be Fourth Friday, a open house and gallery walk for merchants in downtown Ocean Springs, will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday, April 24, will feature Confederate Memorial Day at Beauvoir, the last home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis; the annual Dogwood Garden Club Spring Flower Show at the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum, the Home & Garden Show at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center, and the Renaissance Festival at Gulf Hills Resort in Ocean Springs. Evening entertainment will be provided by country music artist Collin Raye at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino and Neil Sedaka at Casino Magic Bay St. Louis.

Sunday, April 25 will feature day two of the Home & Garden Show and the Renaissance Fest as well as the historical re-enactment of the Landing of D'Iberville at Fort Maurepas in Ocean Springs.

For more information on any event, please contact the Mississippi Gulf Coast CVB at 88-467-4853 or visit Mississippi Gulf Coast CVB Vacation Planner: Biloxi Hotels, Fishing, Casinos and Sightseeing.

Thanks for the info, Panterro...we have a wedding to go to that weekend, otherwise it would definitely be something we would like to see. I love Neil Sadaka...listened to him on my mom's 8-track! (when I was REALLY young )
