Katrina recovery

Can anybody tell me how the recovery is going from Katrina? Has everybody returned home? You always seem to hear about N.O. and people who swear they won't return. How is the emotional climate and the rebuilding?

I truly hope that there will be people from New Orleans (or relatives/friends) who respond to this because I am interested, also, in how people are doing in that area.

Last year, it was assumed that New Orleans' population was probably not going to increase enough to bypass the city of Baton Rouge (which almost doubled after Katrina).

Is there anyone (from New Orleans) who moved to a different city or state who likes where they are at now better than Louisiana?

I'm also curious about the people who survived the hurricanes...how are they surviving at this point in time? I still see reports on television regarding the funds that are tied up and not getting to the victims who really need it.

Anyone? Thoughts? Experiences?
