I may be moving to Kansas City...?

Can anyone give me tips on cool, safe and affordable neighborhoods? The job that brings me to the area is in Overland Park, but I would prefer to live in KC.

You are better off living in one of the suburbs in Kansas... Overland Park, Lenexa, Leawood (if you can afford it), Shawnee, etc...

Overland Park is a huge city (about 150,000 population) and everything you would ever need you can find there. It is less than a 20 minute drive from downtown KC. The further south you live, the nicer the houses and apartments seem to be. Try to stay out of Kansas City. Its close enough to drive to anytime you need to. Overland Park and Lenexa are wonderful cities

I have heard good things about Overland Park, Kansas. Watch for new threads with more KC talk if you are really interested in KC proper though.
