Thinking of moving to las vegas...question?

I'm planning on moving to LV in the next few months, question is, should I get a job there BEFORE I move over or wait until I arrive? Since I do live in L.A. which is kind of a hassle to drive 4-5 hours everytime I'd get interview appointments...

Also how hard is it to get a job with one of the hotels on the strip? If one has prior experience working in a hotel...

I would do some checking before I moved. Most places understand that living that far away is a hassle and are willing to do the initial interviews over the phone.

An added plus, depending what you have to put on the table, they might even pay to fly you out for an interview, get you a rental car, inteview, fly you back. Or, possibly offer to move you or at least pay for part of it.

If that happens, you'd have to pay to move, then turn in receipts and they'd reimburse you. Or even a flat fee, say they offer you $1000 to move and no receipts.

So there are definate advantages to checking it out before hand.
