Albany NY vs. Rochester NY. Where to move?

I have to move to either Albany or Rochester (I currently live in Syracuse). I am a 25 yr. old, single female, enjoy being around the city and need social interation as my job does not provide this. Anyone have advise, on either city? Thanks!

No deep advise, however, knowing both locations really well, I would suggest Albany...Nightlife is pretty good when you consider that we are talking about upstate New York...Good luck!

Go to Rochester. I live in Saratoga, and really can't stand Albany. The bars are not in the best areas of town at all, and there's alot more crime in Albany than in Rochester. Plus, Rochester seems to have more outdoor activities, more parks, more bike trails, and it's got great colleges, and alot of cute guys.

rochester... canada is a hot spot to visit, lots of cultural displays, festivals. albany bored me to death!
