Ok I am from Buffalo Ny, and I hate to sound like a debbie downer, but I am begging and pleading and CRYING out to you.. do NOT move to Buffalo!
The weather is cold and dark for most of the year until Spring finally breaks, which isn't so bad, but the fall, winter and spring are quite unpredictable. The people there.. well, I have been jumped twice, our house was robbed twice, Ive had police at my door twice looking for the neighbors, FBI swarm my street, a drive by a few streets over, the drug squad raid the neighbors, a convict next door, my sister was robbed at gun point at burger king, and I was almost raped but ran out of there in the nick of time. The economy is failing and the business are going under faster than you can imagine- hospitals are closing, stores are leaving.
I am begging you, unless you want to be broke, miserable cold and in fear of your life, stay the H3LL away from Buffalo Ny. I left but still have family there and they are so broke from the economy and price of everything there that they barely are making it by. Keep in mind, with oil prices what they are, you will be heating your house through very rough winters.. are you rich??
If you are adament on going, move out towards the city of Amherst which is atleast safer, the economy isn't much better but your neighbors most likely wont have the cops there every other day.
