Tornado Warnings

I have to by one of these tornado punkers or a house with a garage now after yesterday. Not me but my wife was going crazy! I had to by one of these tornado radios for her yesterday just so that she would let me go to sleep. The dam thing went off in the middle of the night she started screaming calling out my name I ran downstairs and by that time I was hoping that a tornado would take her and that noisy contraption away! It ended up being a warning of possible flooding only.

She must really be scared of storms. I didn't think it was that bad last night.

Re: Tornado Warnings

Storms I don't mind unless it has hard winds.. I hate the wind.. ie Tornados, Hurricanes... and those nasty desert wind storms...

Spiders I am okay with.

Re: Tornado Warnings

Up hear in Minnesota sever thunder storms an tornado’s happen every year , some years more then others because a large portion of the state is farm land an spread out an the north half of the state has allot of trees the damage is not so bad . up hear though everyboby has a basement except apartments an trailer houses. We have a couple touch down every year , some parts of the state get more then others, the odds of being in one are small an very rarely is some one killed . know watch because I said that we will loose 25 people.

Cuban you might be able to use that to your advantage, next time the sirens go off or a tornado comes, if you play it right you could get a lot of loven. Afterwards.

Re: Tornado Warnings

Tornado sirens.

Where I grew up, we had a siren. It was tested every Friday as a noon whistle. Just to make sure it worked. Originally, it was installed for the Cuban Missile crises but as that threat died away, it became the Tornado siren.

When I was about 10 or so, we had a Friday off from school. I was about 6 or 7 blocks from the house and the Siren went off. I run all the way home thinking there was a tornado coming. It was perfectly clear outside, not a cloud in the sky. Just a conditioned response because the Siren went off. Took me about 10 minutes to realize it was Friday and it was the normal test. But it was the first time in my life I had heard it when I wasn't in school.

Very scary! I don't ever want to see a tornado after Hurricane Charley blew through Punta Gorda Fl.

We had tornadoes within the hurricane.
