| ND Tourism?
I have never been to ND and can't for the life of me wonder why anyone would want to go there... What is there to do in ND that would make it worth the trip? And what time of year is best and why?

Believe it or not...North Dakota has a lot to offer. If you do a google search for North Dakota Tourism you will find many things to do. The eastern part of North Dakota is very beautiful...rolling hills and gorgeous plains. It reminded me a lot of Wyoming...which I love. As far as the time of year to visit...for obvious reasons I would suggest the summer months...July and August. lol If one would like to experience snowmobiling or cross-country skiing, then probably January or February would be your best bet...but be prepared for below zero temps...frequently! The people in North Dakota are extremely friendly, hospitable and some of the most loyal people that you will ever meet. Yes, they have a very strange accent, but it's easy to tolerate and fun to hear! Fargo has a lot to offer...especially for such a small city.

Yes, many times...I was raised in the west central part of Minnesota and Fargo was the only place close enough to have REAL shopping besides the Twin Cities. I also lived in Kalispell, MT for about 1 1/2 years so I traveled through North Dakota frequently to visit my family in Minnesota. I guess it depends on what you're looking for as far as vacationing goes. I thought North Dakota (especially the eastern part) was beautiful. If I had my choice, though, I would definitely go to the Black Hills in South Dakota. To me, it's second only to the beaches in the Florida panhandle! That's an honest opinon.
