| I have a pending order for child support in CA. Moving to Oklahoma in Feb 08...
PLEASE HELP ME!!? Someone who knows please answer this: 1. I have an open case as of Nov 1st. (recieved my paper of case being open) for child support in Ca. I havent gone to court yet or anything. 2. I want to file for exclusive custody of my 5 year old daughter ASAP! 3. Im moving to Oklahoma City next month (2/08).... How do I handle this? Does anyone know about custody laws in Ok? What do I need to know? Thank you so much in advance... |

Don't know about Oklahoma. But here in CA you have to be real careful about leaving the county/state. My son had to agree to give 45 days legal notice if he decides to move out of county/state. Know someone who got custody because the wife wanted to move out of state and hubby filed a court document to stop her. He got custody because she moved out of state. It would all be up to a judge...and his view of the situation. But you should check with a lawyer on what will happen if you just move. Izzy
