I am tentatively exploring the possibility of moving to Portland, Oregon ...?

I am interested in living in the city and would like to know where the nicest area are in which to find an apartment and which areas to avoid.

Also: I am gay and would be interested to know which areas are friendly in that respect.

I'd like to live in a nice-ish quiet-ish friendly area with very easy access to the town center/shopping/cafes/nightlife etc

I've been thinking about moving there myself. From what I hear, it's one of the most trans friendly places too. My ex first got me interested in living there.

I want to live somewhere nice-ish, quiet, friendly, kinda suburban but close to shopping, cafes, and entertainment too.

Maybe we should be roomies! :P Just kidding. I still gotta stay in Tex-AS$ for at least another year and a half till I get this damn degree. But as soon as that degree is in my hands, I am SOO outta here.

Try NW Portland, or SE Portland Hawthorne, Lauralhurst, Belmont, or Mt Tabor area.
