Jury Duty

I got jury duty tomorrow. Lucky me!!!! At least I will get paid to read a book. Hopefully I don't get on some lame OJ Simpson trial.

How long is Jury Duty there? Here in Wyoming, when selected, you serve for 6 months and can be called as many times as needed. However, if you do get called, they try and leave you alone for the remainder of your 6 months. Sometimes it works out, sometimes you end up in 4 or 5 trials in the 6 months.

It is for one day. If you get picked for a trial, it will be for as long as the trial lasts. I got summoned for jury duty a couple of years ago. I just sat in a room full of people and did not even get picked. It sucks. It is like sitting at the airport with no food court or shops. They even have the metal detectors and security with guns..... just like the airport....

I get called, but its a day selction thing.. I never get picked though.

PDX, hope you get an interesting case. All I got was a "boyfriend, who keyed the old girlfriends car". A waste of time. You will also see just what a jury of your peers consist of. People with nothing better to do. Most of us get out of it one way or the other. BTW I hear in Montana it is a month long gig also.
