Surfing in Oregon

Yes, we surf here!!!! It is some great surfing also. You got to wear a 4/3 wetsuit with booties year round. Hood is optional. Some of the best breaks are Short Sands, Pacific City, and if you are really good, the point off of Seaside (watch out for localism). There is also a longboard contest in August in Pacific City on the oregon coast. Pretty cool, brah......

Here is a link to a great oregon surf website with coast cams:

Anyone know of any other good breaks?

Re: Surfing in Oregon

Most of the beaches in Oregon are nice soft sand. When you are wearing a 4/3 (mm) wetsuit and booties, you do not feel the cold at all!!!!

Until I moved here to WA I thought the air temps below 72 were fit for a parka!!!

Although now I have to say that anything over 72 is HOT!

I had been living in So Ca and went to the OR coast to live forever! Forever was only 3 months... The air was cold and wet, the water was cold and the state WAYYYY too small for my MIL and me! (now ex MIL)...
