Rental Home needed

Hey PDX & Other Oregon Forum members,

What do you know about Beaverton? I need a site on-line or something to look for houses for rent that except small dogs. I need 3 bed, 1.5+ bath and a yard dogs can run and play and do their busness in.

Re: Rental Home needed

I would avoid Beaverton for renting. Traffic is really bad. Are you looking for a house or apartment?

Since I know that you will be needing to travel downtown daily, I would look in Milwaukie, Oak Grove, or Gladstone. Cheaper rentals, family friendly areas, quick commute to downtown, shopping nearby, and not too busy of an area unless you find a place on McLoughlin Blvd (not recomended).

Re: Rental Home needed

A house would be my first choice. But an APT... would be ok if there are no houses with in our range. I am looking at 900-1250 a month in rent if it can be found. I was looking at Oregonlive.com, and have located a few.

My School rep lives in Beaverton, and he recommends it, says I can catch the MAX into DownTown to get to and from school. So traffic may not be a big problem.. I can get a MAX pass for 45 bucks though the school. He said the school district is good out that way too..

But I am open to any place, and advice.. I dont know the area like you do..

I have 3 kids a 14 year old. a 12 and a 10 year old.. so Being close to good schools is an issue for me. I am heading out Mid march, so time is getting close to my leave date... and I like to be prepaired.

I also have 3 small dogs.. and would hate to leave them with family or friends.. they are like family to us. A Jack Russle, a Daughtson(datsun?), and a mutt, he is part daughtson and bull dog..

Re: Rental Home needed

Avoid beaverton. It is a poophole. Really bad traffic, hispanic gangs, and other crime and it is only getting worse.

Trust me!! Look in Milwaukie, Oak Grove, or Gladstone. Quick bus ride to downtown, good schools, and cheaper housing.

Here is one house for rent:
