Other than the rude NJ people I've been encountering on that site (it seems as if 99.9% of the nasty people on City-Data originated in NJ for some odd reason), I've still grown to enjoy posting new photo tours on the PA forum, where people are able to disagree without name-calling, red dots, etc.

No matter what way you slice it, the other site has around 36,000 members and this site still has a mere few dozen---My services are of much better use on City-Data as I can reach a much larger audience on there.

He also said that he would be back in school this month, so he would have less time to post on the sites. I think he would be really surprised to see how much this site has grown....and yes, I believe that he his leary of getting banned from the "other" site. Very intelligent and extremely kind person who would be an asset to Talkstates.

If so, and SWB wants to live in both worlds, I am sure that admin could eliminate the old SWB and SWB could rejoin with a new sign-on.

Would certainly want him here with us. Once he is banned, he can have admin change his name.

I hate to be mean because he has helped me out more then once but frankly his posts can start to really get annoying. He can never write a SHORT post - ever. And he goes on and on about how "up and coming" some of those PA towns are, but then he moans about how depressing it is to live in Scranton. What the ... ?

He just got on my nerves sometimes and I hate to say this but I don't think I care if he posts or not here.

I really don't think he has ever said it's depressing to live in Scranton.

Let me tell ya, Scranton is really really nice! We were there last week and will be living right outside Scranton. There's ton's of shopping and wonderful restaurants there. The highways are so easy to get to also. You could be in NY in a few hours.
It's a beautiful place. The area is called the Endless Mountains, and boy they are endless.

Hope SWB comes here for good. He really is a nice person, give him a chance :)

I told him to check out New Paltz New York. He could go to school there it's gay freindly. The mayor was up there marrying gay people.

Well no offense to him, but I'm not especially happy about that. The long posts can really start to grate after awhile, and why can he NEVER recommend a city that's NOT in PA? I live in Delaware and I don't sit here and recommend cities in DE. Sure I may not have firsthand exp. in a lot of states, but still.

I'm not saying he's not a good guy, but he can be more then a little annoying. His posts are so...I dunno...he just makes it pretty obvious that he's gay and just writes in this really annoying tone. I'm gay so obviously I don't hate him for it but he has this tone that is just plain annoying.

He stirred up a fuss about becoming a mod and then he basically said he was too busy to do it anyway. I'm not sure on the specific threads but I do remember him wanting to be a mod and later saying he was too busy. Well gee pal, if you're too busy now, surely you were too busy a week ago when you begged to be a mod!

I hate being rude but he just touches my pet peeves a lot. Like I said, the tone is REALLY annoying, and also, like I said, he just can't recommend anything outside of PA.

I'm officially "back" now, after getting the "clear" from one of the moderators on City-Data about retaining my dual membership. P.S. Kevin, if you're "bored" by me, then just don't read what I have to say!

When I was researching a college to attend, I spent countless hours reading every little word of advice that others had provided on forums in order to make an informed decision.

(Uh-oh! I'm over 100 words---I see everyone collapsing in boredom! I'm losing everyone's attention; therefore I am "highly annoying.")

P.S. Kevin, I never had any "beef" against you, so it's a little disheartening to see such callous words, especially considering you started them right during the Holiday season! Bah humbug to you too!

Also, Rosanna, I'm back because of your e-mail (and getting the "go-ahead" to keep posting on here without losing my City-Data membership), so I'm ecstatic to hear that you're forging onward into Wyoming County.

I still do have that relocation package of sorts; I just assumed it would be better to hold off on it until you were already here, as a lot of it is "outdated" already and needs to be replenished with newer editions.

I then posted a not so warm post over here about my frustration with what was happening at C-D, and I was banned the next morning, so if you want to stay on both sides, stay clean over here becuase they are watching.

I plan to. I think I've proven myself as enough of an asset on City-Data though where they won't just up and ban me because I opt to have dual memberships. I mean, I'm in the Top 10 when it comes to reputation, and I've had several nominations for PA forum moderator, so I think they realize that just banning me out of nowhere would cause an uproar of sorts, especially on the PA forum. I prefer City-Data simply because it is larger; I can post something on there and expect a reply within ten minutes. On this forum, there's still not many members, and it seems as if I'd be talking to myself!

I like it on here, but if push came to shove and the City-Data moderators sent me a PM saying "make the choice or face the consequences", I'd have to go with them. Sorry!
