Pretty soon I think all the city-data junkies will arrive~ ![]() So who are you ADMIN???!!! Reveal your identity!!! ![]() Well the only "complaint" I have is the smileys...They're not as colorful or expressive as the "regular" ones on c-d... But otherwise... !

![]() I understand that some moderation is needed, but that place goes way overboard. I will look into updating the smilies. | |

It's going to have to be a word of mouth thing though - just FYI - even the emails received on city-data with this URL in them are being *** out so folks can't read them. I read mine fine as it showed up ok, but within hours the URL was just "****" . Luckily I had saved in favorites by then. ;-)

I personally believe that if something states 'Private Message' and the board administrators hacked in-------they could be liable in a court of law.

the PM was an issue I had with CD admin just prior to my banning. He told me that kimbercuddles was banned due to sending PM's with reference to this half dead site. I asked what they were doing monitoring PM's and told admin that if word gets out that they monitor PM's there would be quite a reaction. Admin pm'd back that they don't care about anything said on a PM, but they do filter for spam...and she was spamming. I told him that they need to either stop monitoring PM's, or make is very clear that they were monitoring PM's. Soon after I was banned, they "magically" changed the verbage when you signed up for membership regarding PM's not being private, and then they changed the name to direct message. Somewhere in there I think they got the point. Duff

That's exactly how I found out about how they banned me.....it was my comment to another user about a real over zealous moderator name 'pearlbob' on the Memphis forum, who incidentally has another 'expert' presence over at Trip Advisor. People are stupid The only way they knew what was actually said, was IF THEY READ my PM to another poster !! but they do that crap with impunity |

According to C-D they only monitor for spam... Right. hehehehe. spam. I guess all conversations on DM over there can be seen as spam. How's the weather down your way temple? Duff

I seem to have noticed that too. Apparently, when you simply even type the word "talkstates", the c-d forum automatically changes it to "city-data" ![]()
