way nice. So, lets do the math. What day did RodFarlee join? We went down in numbers yesterday. As Markablue once said. "I'm getting tired of this, please just go back to your forums and post" Speaking of "over there" they are touting that they have average 3000 posts for day. Been watching. They have not broken 1900 per day for the last two days. Their membership increases by 330 per day average, but they are going decreasing the number of posts. Read what you want into that.

So they are getting 1900-3000 posts daily with 45,000+ members and we have been getting over 200 posts daily with under 100 members. If our posting rate stayed the same, we would have about an equal number of daily posts with around 1000-1500 members.

I can tell you that the washington forum is wiped out. The most sr. poster has less than 40 posts, and there was only 12 threads even responded to since saturday. Oregon has even less threads active, but there are still some posters that have high posts... but for some reason there are a bunch on posters with the words BANNED under them. Wonder why?

I think there are very dedicated people in this forum who are intent to make it succeed; myself included. Bottom line: the personalities and knowledgeable posts of the users here are priceless...

I believe I've seen ADMIN state that, the more we post - especially on our state forums - the more likely we will pop-up in someone's browse. I haven't looked at every state - but are we getting potential relocators coming in here yet? I've had a few questions in WY and new posts by current members but nobody coming in new for moving information. How is this evolving forum-wide? For over two years, I was browsing for info on various moves I've made or been investigating - and C-D only popped up in December. Where do we stand so far on actually being able to assist new inquirers? And congrats on 100 members! This place was a little bare when Rod invited me in - not looking quite so bare anymore and tomorrow will only be my 10th day! |

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search Both Google and Yahoo have had spiders on the site almost constantly lately. The site was found 119 times through Google last week, but most of the searches were for the keywords "talk states". We still need much more content before we will start coming up towards the top of peoples searches for other words. We will get there, it will just take some time.

relocate Move state name city name would be important. I have been posting in washington about areas giving city names and popular highlights for each area. One test I did in several states was to post "markablue moderator" since there are very few hits on google for that combo. So far none have made it.

| Re: 100 Registered Accounts I think the dufferz did a pretty good job of covering it. I would say city name if you are talking about one in particular, state name if you are talking about the state in general, and another keyword or two like "sailing" or "moving" are good to have in the title as well as somewhere in the post. Spelling a state name out in a post sometimes instead of using the 2 letter abbreviation might also help a little. Putting the state name, city name if any, and other keywords about the post in the tag line when making a new thread is helpful too. Pages that are already in Google will move up the results list as the site gets more popular, better indexed, and more relevant.
