Moving to South Carolina?

I might be moving from San Diego to Charleston, SC. I was wondering if anyone could comment on how they like (or don't like) living there? My friends who live there are a little biased so I would like some honest opinions. Thanks so much!

I moved there and I lived in Ladson. Great place. Low crime, had lots to do and was only a 20 minute commute to where I worked.
