Do you know that you can find homes in Tega Cay that start in the low to mid $100,000 range (course they might not be right on the water, and you may need to do some updating but they are out there). And while the homes that sit right on the water in TC can range anywhere from the high $300,000 range and on up - we are surrounded by the lake so even if a home is not waterfront - you can still enjoy it in just a matter a minutes from anywhere within the city. |

But it regard to the economy it stinks around here just like anywhere else right now. Most folks that live around here commute to Charlotte, NC (or surrounding areas). Course it does depend on what your line of work is - if you happen to be in IT, or Banking then I'd say stay where you are. But on the other hand if you are in the medical field, or a teacher, or engineer your chances are a little better on trying to find something. This area (meaning Charlotte, NC and anything within a 45 minute commute) has seen an incredible influx of transplants in a short amount of time so with that brings alot of people competing for the very same jobs. But while we might have originally came here due to a job opportunity - we immediatly fell in love with the Carolinas and have no plans on ever leaving. | |
