The bike ralley!!!!

The bike ralley is going on and so far, so good. Been a few arrests, but nothing drastic.

Have you been there? I grew up in Rapid City, 30 miles away, but never went. haha

Ok. Two deaths so far. But it's smaller then the state average. One from hitting a deer. Go figure.

Poor Sturgis. They're estimating that there are over 350,000 bikers there. That's down a little bit from last year. Wonder if the price of gas is holding people back?

That ralley brings bikers from all over the country. We even have foreign people fly over, rent RV's and attend the ralley. but this year they're not getting the numbers they usually get.

the news said that the number of vendor licenses is down also.

Even living 200 miles away, I went down to the truck stop a bit ago. There were probably 40 or 50 bikes either fueling, or waiting to fuel, or at the Kountry Kitchen getting something to eat. Not one was at McDonalds across the street. haha

Reread and had to edit. I don't mean Poor Sturgis because there's bikers there. I mean, Poor Sturgis has to be busting at the seams because they have 350,000 people there all at once. haha
