Kingsport? Ok I am looking for a campground that is near to or close by to Kingsport. Anyone Know of a good 1? And not to sound silly but the less fire ants and Poisonous snakes the better as My better half Is a NH native and has never even seen a rattlesnake. Or any other venomous snake for that matter. Or animal. LOL

I think that in the Kingsport area, Copperheads would be more prevalent than timber-rattlers ... but check it out - that's just my thought. Same "pit-viper" genre though.

Well, I only know a couple things 'bout Copperheads - the most important being: If you're out hiking the tall-grass - and you get a whiff of cucumber - head for the short-grass!

I always thought that to be a myth. Do you mean to tell me there is some truth to it?

I know it's an old thread, but..... I was fortunate enough to be able to stop and stay in Tenn. Only for a night. But we found nothing dangerouse about being there. Course, we didn't hike. We just stopped in an RV park, enjoyed the evening, and we left in the morning. That was 2 or 3 times ago. Never found anything to be afraid of. Other then gas prices. haha
