I may be moving to Memphis, Tennessee. Any opinions as to what kind of town it is?

it just has more focus on music and more tourists
it's a good place you will like it - there's a bit more going on than in Chattanooga

Memphis is very cool i would know i live a few well like 30 minuets away i go there a lot fun ,but very dangerous if you get in the rong side of town , so it well be fun u live there ,just stay on the right side of town .

I'm from Washington DC but have visited Memphis home of Elvis and Justin Timberlake. Beale Street is cool plus the Peabody motel with the walking ducks. The Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel (where MLK was killed) is fantastic. Memphis has its own charm, much like New Orleans had both are just 'funky' places. It has a small town feel with some culture. Granted, I've only visited the area but it made a good impression with me. Nashville is also a nice city. Tennesse is a great state but a pain to drive through, its so freaking long.
