I'm interested in working for FedEx. I'm willing to move to Memphis where...

...their corporate HQ is located I have a BBA and one year of mail sorting experience. I'd like a job involving traveling (but not driving a truck) and eventually I'd be interested in being a logistician. Right now I make almost $12.75 per hour. What path should I take.

Please do not link me the careers area of their website as I was 100% able to find that by myself.

I want to work for a place where:
1) I can travel without driving a semi
2) Work in operations/logistics. I'll never make a career out of finance or marketing without a decade in sales which I do not want to do. Plus the competition is fierce for those fields and employeers are complete snobs.
3) I have work experience in mail sorting so I think I'd have a reasonable chance of being hired.

I think FedEx can satisfy those desires.

Memphis is also farther south (which means it's warmer) and, although 6 hours away, it isn't an impossible distance way.

If it weren't for FEDEX, Memphis would be nothing.

Lived there....would not advise anybody to relo there....FEDEX does have ops in other cities not plagued with the ignorance and crap that Memphis 'offers'. I spent years in banking there, so my opinion is not based on just what I 'think'. Are there worse cities?? well yes....like Montgomery AL or Jackson MS...better ones ? my god yes...even Nashville ! or smaller cities like Huntsville AL

What he said. I would avoid Memphis like the plague. Find another city where FedEx operates or choose another company.
