Re: El Paso Snow

Pan, Great Shots! There's at least one I don't understand but will ask later - I liked the way you took some daylight shots that helped explain some of the other shots.
The kicker though, is the video ... not that the snowflakes looked "big" - 'cause I could only make out that it was snowing - but because of the voice. Adds a human element that I doubt any of us expected.
Thanks for sharing.

Re: El Paso Snow

Naw knowing El Paso.. by 10am it will be all gone. Damn it.

Ask away Wyody.. and I am glad you all enjoyed them.

This is one of the few things I enjoy about El Paso, the every now and then Snow storm. Does not happen often, so when we get it, it is like magic.

Re: El Paso Snow

Okay Pan - the 3rd shot down ... I want to say it's a shot of snow piled on lights on the eave ... or ... a row of trees covered in snow by a man-made water display ... or ... a row of dump-trucks covered in snow alongside a truly wet road.
I'm guessing you do a lot of picture-snapping. Or, maybe it's your design experience - you seem to have a good eye ... and apparently some climbing abilities.

Re: El Paso Snow

If you look at the 5th picture down in the upper left corner you'll see the Patio corner. Its only about 6 feet 5 inches tall at that point. Just above the pumpkins. All I had to do was stand there and line up the camera and snap.

But your first guess was right. Snow gathered on the eves.

Re: El Paso Snow

Cool - thanks. I'm guessing this is your place - all decked out already too. Good thing - timing it with the snow.

Re: El Paso Snow

Nope it is my mom and aunts place. My house has nothing on it yet. They have a fenced yard and deck it out every year.. I have to set it all up for them.. but I don't mind. This year I am doing something simple, but I hope has a big effect. If I get it done, I'll take pictures and post them.

Re: El Paso Snow

Cool - we're really limited, especially this year.
Because we're gov't, we can't use religious themes.
Also, I'm pulling the U-Haul in a day or two after Christmas.
Happy Holidays to you, your family, your ma and your aunt!

That looks like to much fun. Thinking about buying one some day, Lots of places to ride round here. But don't think I'll need the snow blade.

Nice pics. I think Texas had snow before Minnesota this year.
