Columbus sucks like crap,due to crime *pardon my semi-french* and west palm isn't all that great either (gais), in which case Dallas is the BEST place on earth.

Some real estate web sites have a link that you can use to find out the cost of living index, crime index, weather, etc. for any particular city. I wish I could remember the site I was using. It may even have been connected to yahoo. If I find it I will modify my answer.

On the Yahoo! home page click on real estate.. There is tab in there that says "My Real Estate". You can type in the name of the place and get all kinds of info.. Good Luck!!
