Texas - Yee Haw!

I am a recent mover into Texas. My wife lived in the Dallas/Ft Worth area for 25+ years. I'd been through Texas, and was familiar with West Texas; didn't like it... told my wife when we met I'd 'never' live in Texas... never say never. We moved into North Comanche County area to be close to relatives, and my wife still has family within 100 miles; close enough to visit, far enough to be private. She's retired, I'm disabled. But like my brother-in-law, and a friend of his a realtor, told me; "Lance, you've always been a Texican; just been waiting for an opportunity to get here." A TEXAN, I've been told, means born and raised here; TEXICAN means an American who has moved here. So, I'm a Texican... You can't miss our house (which we bought over the internet); it has the US and Texan flags flying sunrise to sunset each day...
Hope to hear from y'all!

I lived in Houston 25 years before moving to CA(originally from OH).
There is something about TX that grows on ya!

Although I enjoy my home and life here in CA there is much about TX I miss and will never find anywhere else.

I used to say Buckeye by birth,Texan by choice.

I was considering moving to the northern Houston suburbs around Spring or The Woodlands before I decided to move to Charlotte, North Carolina instead.

The Woodlands looks very nice.

Re: Texas - Yee Haw!

I lived in San Antonio for more than ten years and absolutely loved it. The cost of living there is almost unbelievable...one is able to find a 1500 square foot home (3bdrm/2bth) for less than $100,000 and that is truly rare these days. The people there are excellent...very friendly and polite. Sometimes I really miss friends, but I love where we are living now.
