Northeast Texas or Lardeo want info.

My husband often does work for US coldstorage here in CA. He was wondering what other states the company has offices in. I found it on line. There are five spots in Texas. We were hoping for Idaho. Oh, well. Just curious.

The Texas spots are Dallas, Ft. Worth, Arlington, and Lardeo. The Lardeo ones are right on the border of Mexico? Well just wanting to know about climate, humidity, landscape, and weather hazards, price of homes one vs. the others.

Thanks Izzy

are you hispanic? I have found that being in border towns that unless you speak Spanish or are hispanic... you may not feel like you fit in. My Mother is from Mexico and and I speak fluent Spanish... however don't look like I have any Mexican in me. And I felt out of place just visiting. I found it frustrating because signs and such are all in Spanish. I feel more at home being IN Mexico than in an American Border town.

I hadn't thought about that aspect of it. Although, I'm in CA and the larger surrounding cities Stockton, Manteca, Modesto...have a high percentage of hispanics. No I'm not hispanic. Although, three of my kids are half hispanic, they don't look it. Don't speak spanish. But have hispanic friends.

Re: Northeast Texas or Lardeo want info.

They would then be the minority.. Which for the most part May not be that big a deal to them... however when visiting colleges my half hispanic blonde haired blue eyed son was offered a full acedemic scholorship to UCI and when we went to visit, he felt so out of place that he didn't want to go there. I never thought it would be an issue for him. It has a large Asian population.

Now some years later he speaks Japanese and is wanting to spend s a few years in Japan. All that from opting to go to a Western Wa college!

My point is when they are that young, fitting in is very important to them. And can make all the difference in self confidence about who they are for their future.
