Taysen B, I have not lived in Payson but I have been there often over the past several decades and can tell a little bit about it.
I hope you are moving there with a parent or parents. Utah is not particularly kind turf for minors in the "get-by" department.
Payson is a growing community near Provo, Utah. It has been mostly a ranching/farming community - as is much of Utah. You don't say where you're moving from - so I'll mention that farming, in Utah, means "growing alfalfa". Ranching means having cattle and maybe some horses and depending on where you live, sheep.
Payson is nestled up against the Wasatch Front - the west slope of the Uinta mountain range of the Rockies. It's not totally country-fied but close. Many city and business folks now live in Payson and commute to Provo. There is a racetrack (auto) nearby.
If you're looking for the current "big-city" atmosphere - you won't find that anywhere in Utah. The dominant religion is LDS (The Mormons) and it pretty-much dominates society there in one way or another. There are plenty of non-Mormon folks and activities.
Provo has most things you'll expect from a medium-size town and Salt Lake has most of what you'd need from a city. For a real city though, you need to go to Denver or Phoenix. Vegas is an up-and-comer.
Here's a link to their propoganda: Payson, Utah
