Such a horrific event is nearly beyond our scope of imagination and I'm sure all of our sympathies go that direction.
Might be a good time to mention that the next day ... or the next, 32 people were killed in northern China when molten-steel accidentally was poured over workers.

Interesting how we didn't hear about that one.

I am aggitated that they are focusing on the guns and not the killer here on the news. My heart goes out to all of those that lost someone due to the shootings. But the guns aren't the reason. We own guns and not one has jumped out of the gun safe to kill anyone.

Re: Virginia Tech Massacre

The local CBS tv station is focusing on local students who were either injured or killed. There was a girl from Smithfield who was killed and I've heard on the news that she'd been both a Junior and was an EMT.

There are many VT grads in this area.

Tonight there will be memorials in the area.

I know someone who had a relative who had been mentored by one of the profs who was killed.

Re: Virginia Tech Massacre

the world stops for a minute when this tragic event happens. my prayers go to the familiy of the faculty and students of Virginia Tech. I can't help but glue myself to the TV when it occur. It's so sad...

Re: Virginia Tech Massacre

A Hokie is like a turkey.

The cartoonist left out Christopher Newport University.

A local tv station showed this cartoon.

It was a terrible event.

Re: Virginia Tech Massacre

You're very welcome.

VT & UVA are arch rivals. They hate each other as much as UNC hates NCState. It makes for some really good football and basketball games.
