...expect? I'm thinking about moving to Virginia Beach, Va. Can anyone tell me what can I expect?
I wanna know a little about the weather, the night life, real estate, the city in general, the people, culture, everything! Anything you can answer would be great!

virginia beach is awesome! i have lived here my whole life and its deffinatly an awesome city with tons to do. The weather is pretty temperate, it gets to be about 90-95 during the summer and will mabey snow once or twice a year, but thats about it. we can get hurricans sometimes, but usually its pretty calm--theres lots to do, we have the largest beach line on the east coast i think, the cheasapeake bay to go fishing, crabing, boating, ect. boardwalk, lots of good concerts all year. the place fills up during the summer with tourists, but they tend to stay down at the "hotel end" of the oceanfront. The oceanfront is organized into streets, going from 1st street to 88th street, most of the hotels, and the boardwalk which is a good place to bikeride, walk, lots of restaurants, clubs, ect. are from about 1st street to 40th street. this is where a lot of the night life is, but if you want to get away, the other streets beach's are generally a lot less crowded. if you go inland a little bit, the virginia beach town center has lots of really good restaurants and a mall and movie theator. norfolk which is about a twenty minute drive from the beach via I-64 has the naval base, nauticus (which has a battleship you can tour), macgarther mall which has an 18 theator movie theator in it. ahh, wow, kinda drawing blank now but there is a TON to do and i would deffinatly encorage you to move here its an awesome place to live!

There is everything you can imagine on Va.beach blvd.The fishing is GREAT.Its the largest resort city in the world,area-wise...its very long and narrow.Norfolk is a few minutes away,but its a craphole,so no need to go there.Taxes there are OUTrageous ! You can't get on or off of any hwy.without paying a toll ! Mostly military folks,and in the winter you can get a room at the marriott for $30 a nite because the place is pretty much deserted.
