needlepoint. Have never been there, but hear is it beautiful. What is the top draw for where you live? What is the average home price? I have a 1500 sq. ft. home in the Seattle area that would sell for $380,000. What could I get in Virginia, somewhere that feels like country, with a city nearby?

I live in a rural area. I do not know how many square feet my house is. It is 2 stories and has 3 complete bathrooms and an 8 acre yard. I personally could wish that some of the tourists would disappear. I live near Brent and Becky Heath, who are known around the world for their daffodils. Brent is a third generation grower/breeder of daffodils. We do not have the pollution of Northern Virginia, but we do have traffic headaches. |

I used to live in Virginia, but I don't think I'll be much help as I'm not sure where in the state I lived. I moved every few years, that's all I know. Then I moved to Anchorage when I was a teen. Ah, parents, they think school is so important, but don't bother to make sure you can point out where you live on a map... What can I say? It gets kinda hot during the summer, but was never bad enough for me to hide indoors. I think 80's, sometimes low 90's is pretty typical. And it's humid. Living in a neigborhood with a swimming pool helps. There's not a lot of snow during the winter, and it doesn't last too long- the longest I remember having snow stay on the ground was two weeks, at which point I started getting bored with it. I don't recall ever living someplace that didn't have a good supply of trees in Virginia, so that's a plus. I've seen deer occasionally, some of them don't run away as soon as they see you. Squirrels are a frequent sight- I always liked the squirrels. |
