Moving from SF to Seattle. good community colleges?

Heyyy Im currentley looking into moving to Seattle from SF cali. Im super excited but I just wanted to get a idea on the community colleges over there, I have no idea what Im doing yet so community college is my path as of now.

and anything else about Seattle to help pump me up!

I have lived in Seattle all my life and currently attend community college. I can't tell you about all of them because I didn't really explore the differences. I currently go to North Seattle Community College. It's kind of ugly, frankly (it's made of concrete!), but I like the classes and teachers. If you are looking for small classes (I had once class with only 10 students) and a community college with a lot of diversity, then you would like it. It has a good variety of teachers and everything involving enrollment and grades is pretty simple.

Seattle is very nice because although there's traffic like any city, there are many areas where you can walk to anything. I've visited California and noticed it takes forever to get places, so it made me appreciate Seattle. It has good food and good shops. Also a nice bus system. It's cold often and nearly always overcast but at the same time, it's very mild weather. The summer gets hot but 100 is amazing to us.
From what I've experienced, crime is somewhat low, gangs are unheard of, and I always feel safe (besides the ocassional creepy hobo of course :P)

sorry tanya, but gangs are not unheard of, you just have not heard of them. They are all over the place here, maybe not as bad as LA, but they are here.

Seattle/surrounding areas is the car theft capitol and gangs have a lot to do with that.

LoL man some of the gangs out here man are the people you would least expect. I once got chased by a group of "asian crips" right outside downtown oakland LoL. A little runin's good for the heart i suppose.

LOL we also got laotion (sp?) bloods and cambodian crips. Man sometimes i loose track of all the different gangs we got out here. One thing seems in common with what ever race, its eithe red or blue.

LOL even in the posh beach town of santa cruz,ca you got these white suburban like youths "banging" westside (red) and east side (blue).

Wonder why its always red and blue, maybe patriotism LOL

First off dont tell them your from Cali. Say your from Texas or New Mexico.. if you tell people in Seattle your from Cali, you'll be moving real soon.. out of the state.. they hate people from Cali up north... so does Texas so dont come here either.

The whole westcoast is so mixed with Californians and other transplants, nobody really cares anymore. It was once that way here, but not anymore. Idaho, on the other hand, will burn down your house if you are from California. They DETEST Californians.

Never understood why peole in idaho hated californians so much. Heck im pretty sur most of those people are just trying to live around white people and just want to get out of mexifornia... imean california (hehehe i would get nailed for saying that on C-D).

Is it they hate californians in general, or is it that they hate the nonsense baggage that comes along where ever a bunch of californians go?
