| water features in the Puget Sound
Water abounds in the Puget Sound Region. Here is an overview of the major lakes. Lake Washington: This is the big boy of western Washington. Surrounded by Seattle on the east, Kenmore on the North, Kirkland, Bellevue on the west and Renton on the south, this lake is 22 miles long and is home to none other than Bill Gates and any other very rich people. Toward the southern part of the Lake sits Mercer Island. Very influential with many million dollar homes along the waterfront. Lake Sammamish: East of Lake washington on the other side of bellevue sits lake sammamish. This lake is surrounded by redmond to the north, Bellevue to the west and Issaquah to the south. This is a boaters lake and has a state park on the Issauqah end. Scattered throught the puget sound are many other lakes that offer both beauty and living opportunities that help make living here out of this world.
