Moving to West Virginia?

I am thinking about moving to Keyser West Virginia with my good friends. I am from Washington, DC and my friends are from my home town. Is it a good idea to move out there will it be a serious culture shock for me to move out since I'm African America and I'm told there are a few blacks there?

Wow from D.C. to Keyser? That will be a huge change. I live in LaVale, which is about 20 minutes from Keyser and yes there are very few African Americans in this area sadly. More so since Katrina but still very few. And yes there are still people who are retarded and treat people who look different, badly but for the most part the people around here just don't know how to act so they tend to be insensitive at times. I wouldn't recommend moving out here unless you are prepared for all that. There also is not much to do around here. It is completely different from the city. The biggest thing to do is go to Wal-mart. I used to live in Chicago so trust me you gotta be a country person at heart to love this area which fortunately for me I am. Hope this helps!

Are you culturally diverse? You will need to be but great people are every where and so are sorry ones.
Go with a honest and open minded.
