Rednecks in Wyoming

She did it. My daughter came by last night and shot a hole through my shed. haha

I've bought that crossbow that's 180 pound bow. She stood about 15 feet away from my straw target and she put an arrow through my shed. I'm going to kick her butt as soon as I stop laughing.

hehehe

women are wonderful creatures, especially daughters... but give them a weapon, or put them in a group of other women and you got yourself one dangerous situation!

Re: Rednecks in Wyoming

Am I correct in assuming that you bought the crossbow powered by a 22? I can't recall my weights - I always just shaped a piece of Ash, shaved and notced a couple sticks, chipped a couple of points, fletched them and pulled the "trigger".
A friend bought one (the .22 cal kind) years ago while we were in Buffalo (WY) working the Big Horns. We took it out and gave it a trial.
We instantly concluded that it would go right thru a deer - leaving it usually, evenutally, mortally injured but not dead.
Took it back. Need meat - not a bad conscience.
Must agree with The Dufferz. I have a wonderful wife - one of those rare women who I can buy swords, knives, guns, num-chuks and clubs for ... and it works!!
Stupid me. I armed the wen .... er ... lady!!!
Woe, Woe, Woe.

Re: Rednecks in Wyoming

I'm not sure if I need a bigger straw target, a smaller shed, or a daughter that can shoot straighter.

No, just a regular old cross bow. Takes both hands to cock it. Not an easy job. But it holds a good group, most of the time, unless your drinking and then you shoot the shed.
